"Whether nudity is good or bad does not influence the fact that, as a commodity in our culture, it is in demand. And we see many expressions of nudity, falling into two major categories: Tasteful and artful, on the one hand; crude and prurient on the other, for the sole purpose of exploitation. The age-old story, beauty versus ugliness — or art as opposed to pornography. The nude has always been a difficult art form. Today we are seeing greater skill among photographers and a more harmonious understanding of nudity’s proper place (if one can make such a judgement)."
